About the Role:
Veritas Environmental Services LLC is looking for a motivated and dependable Maintenance Assistant to join our growing team in Winston Salem, NC! This is an exciting opportunity to start part-time with the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate. Responsibilities:
- Assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of facilities and equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Support senior maintenance staff with day-to-day service requests and work orders
- Inspect equipment, tools, and work areas to identify and report potential issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and storage spaces
- Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company procedures
- Assist with grounds maintenance and general facility upkeep as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related hands-on trade preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and general repair techniques
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive attitude
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Willingness to grow into a full-time role and take on additional responsibilities

Compensation: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
